Yesterday was the first day for pre-filing bills for the 82nd Regular Legislative Session and already my head is spinning after reviewing the first day’s damage totaling about 350 bills and resolutions! The bill topics ranged from immigration issues (which last I checked were federal issues but what do I know) to states rights issues to naming the “hamburger” as the official Texas sandwich, and to more relevant issues relating to high performance building standards – the bill we’ve been pushing to pass for the last two legislative sessions (
House Bill 51).
